Today’s Run
Speed work round Holme pierrepont (national watersports centre, ha ha! :D) I hate running round the lake because you can see exactly where and how far you still have to go and it’s entirely monotonous. Still it’s a great flat surface to do speedwork on, with plenty of markers to aim for. First 4 miles I worked on speed and form, I was watching some of Eric orton’s stuff on YouTube and was trying to put it into practice when driving my knees forward while landing softly! Felt alot easier to run fast this way! (Duh!) after I’d finished my horrible lap of the lake I fancied adding a few extra miles on so ran back along the road (alot of idiots in white vans honking at me) ended up doing 8 miles. Not bad!
